Preparing Your Business Cards Files
You can send us final files using the following specifications or for design fee, let us create production artwork from your design concept, logos and photos.
Preparing your Files: Files must be supplied at 100% of the size shown in the technical specifications. Images should be set at 300 DPI. Files should be supplied in EPS or TIFF format with images converted to CMYK. Files sent in any other format will incur additional charges for conversion.
Proofing: These files are sent directly to production and are NOT proofed by Alta Graphics. The purchaser of the graphics is responsible for proofing all design files with their respective graphic designer prior to submitting them.
Using our File Creation Service: Let us turn your design concept into a professional design! You need to supply us with all logos, images and text together with a rough layout. If you do not know what you want or require several design proposals, your needs are beyond the scope of this service. Contact customer service with any questions.

Business Card Design Specifications
A standard card has a trim size of 2” x 3.5”. You must include a .25” inside safety margin and a .25” Bleed.
Full Color Digital Business Card Size Specifications

| Safety Size: | 3.125 x 1.625 (recommended) 3.25 x 1.75 (maximum 1/8 inside) |
| Image Resolution: | 200 - 300dpi (It is not recommended to use GIF images as they do not have enough resolution for optimal output. The best options are EPS or TIFF format.) |

Legend & Definition
Bleed: an area of color or image that extends beyond the cut edge. Must be include whenever you want to have images or color all the way to the border of the page. (it MUST be 1/8 or 0.125)
Trim: Final cut size of the printer piece. Anything that extends beyond this size is considered bleed and will not appear in the final piece.
Safety: Maximum area where text and logos can be positioned so that they do not get cut off in bindery. Should be no less than 1/8 inside the Trim Size on all sides. (some applications may require larger margins)
